Default Anyone got an OEM mitsu 60/120k tuneup kit?

Well 120k is bearing down on me and I want to do a tune-up soon. Just wondering if anyone in the area has an OEM kit for sale.

Also, when I get the kit, would anybody be willing to help me through the tune-up process? I would pay for your time of course.

Shoot me a pm if you have a kit for sale or would be willing to help out.

Thanks,

Mike

^ I think he means, he also needs to do the 120k and is going to do the work himself.

Try Rockville Mitsubishi for the Kits. Ask for 3SI discount.

I just did mine, granted I don't have a VR4, just a SOHC.

I didn't get everything from Rockville. My dad had a old friend who work at a part shop that ordered most of my parts. Cost me less, than what it would cost at rockville. Maybe 2/3 of the price. I'd offer to help get the parts, but I don't want to abuse of the discount I received from my dads friend. He is just getting to know me. Maybe later down the road, cause right now I'm still calling saying "Hi, This is Jack's Son, David. Do you have <blank> part in stock?".

Next to my dads friend, Rockville Mitsubishi I think is the cheapest place to get the parts.

Thanks for the reply.

Does rockville sell a pre-assembled kit?

I've been searching through their site and can't seem to find one.

Thanks!

If you call them up, they should be able to list exactly what you need and get you a price on it. Remember to ask for the 3Si/3000GT forums discount. I've dealt with Rockville for years and they're good guys, very friendly and very helpful.

How much is the 60k kit from Rockville vs. IPS. IPS has it all for $405, how much at rockville?

I have one fully kit, got it years ago when all Mitsubishi parts are still very high quality, sold my 92VR4 so never even open the bags!

Pm me a price if you are interested.

$400 for the 60k kit at rockville (timing belt, tensioner, water pump, both timing pulleys). Another $170 or close to that for the oil pump.
I assume you could pick it up from rockville where as you would have to pay for shipping from IPS.

Be careful if you do it yourself or get some shop to do it just because they give you the cheapest quote. I pick up a couple every year because someone didn't know what they were doing and after they were done it jumped timing and bent valves.

I regularly charge $500 for the 60k, then another $150 for the oil pump. I was going to offer up some specials this summer when things die down. If you really need it now, pm me and I'll try to work with you on price.

BTW I already bought the 60k kit from IPS, and everything on their site is free shipping, in that case I think that it would be better to contribute to a great vendor like IPS for $5 more. I am planning on having Greg (monochrome) perform the 60k because he is so close to me, but thanks for the offer, and the info.
