I posted what happened here:
http://www.3si.org/forum/showthread.php?t=411598 All the pics are here: http://www.sixsixfour.com/cabbagetown These are some of my photos and one from 11 Alive's website. Even taking pictures of this whole thing made me sick to my stomach. from 11Alive's website: the Tornado as it was hitting us. Outside looking in. =( ![]() This is our courtyard. The bricks came from the wall that seperated the courtyard from the pool. There were 2 grills, lots of grass, and neighbor's front porches here. The tornado knocked down the wall after hitting the E building hard (most of the news coverage shows the E building). Then it lifted up taking the roof of the courtyard units off, then it skimmed the top of the parking deck (both Stealth's were parked right under the tornado with only concrete in the way) and then it leaped over the MARTA railway and hit some homes on the other side before finally losing steam. ![]() ![]() Saturday we went back down there to try and get at least one Stealth out. I finally did and then the portable tornado siren they brought down started going off. I was so scared. I pulled into a gas station and had 2 minutes to spare before the storm dumped quarter sized hail hard: ![]() ![]() The roof of the E building from the roof of my building, H. ![]() I parked the 96 next to a mud puddle that day, the tornado took that mud and repainted my car lol ![]() Matt_A4_Audi's side mirror that was busted, along with his rear windshield ![]() The water tower that stood through the twister, but lost it's top ![]() The beautiful weather on Sunday shows you just how topless the building really was ![]()

They said a minimum was a week from Sunday. But, we got an update today that the main water supply to the property was below the E building, that collapsed, and the pipe is busted. They're working on a way to re-route the water. It won't be deemed livable until that's fixed, at a minimum...

It was what I was afraid of...............the building seems so sturdy and solid but with years of age and weathering how stable is it? Are there fractures in the structure they don't know about from the storm? So many questions.................I know this is a long shot but if you need any place to stay should you need it I should have tried called you sooner............... |
