I'm so excited! my new camera just came.

Canon 450d
18-200mm sigma dc lens.

I can't wait to start taking pictures with this thing.

yah it's called the "digital rebel xsi" in the states though. Don't know why they call it something different everywhere.

Good choice on that one though, I've heard mostly good things about that camera. Once you get used to it, don't ever pick up a 40D or a 5D lol. Well, you can if you want to be poor.

I'm actually already decently familiar with it, for only having it for a few days now. The interface is actually extremely easy to use, and changing things like shutter speed, aperture, and ISO can be done really fast.

I'm still learning to get the type of exposures I want, an I've been reading a lot of tutorials, tips for getting the proper exposures. It's been really helpful. I think once I get more familiar with it, I'll be able to take some pretty awesome pictures. This summer I'll be in Colorado backpacking for 10 days, and then after that Alaska for 18 days, so there will hopefully be one or two decent picture opportunities there
