^im happy with the xti...i think what i got was a great combo

just need to learn how to get the blue out of these shots....this was early morning...10am on a overcast day...suggestions?



later that night at like 8pm from the parking lot garage



and one from today at 3pm...very sunny out...yes the vr4 is dirty...2yrs of sitting in the driveway...notice anything in the first pic?..but that will change

Pics are likely blue because white balance (color temp) is set wrong. I can't see white balance in EXIF data, so no idea what setting you were using.

White balance is on one of the arrow keys (down I believe?)... you can choose one of the preset color temps, or you can do custom white balance if you have a whiteboard. I just use whichever preset is closest and correct it in photoshop as needed.

Good luck with the XTi, I love mine. Working (slowly) on processing the 800+ clicks I took at the Porsche club race at TWS last weekend. I don't do a whole lot of post-processing, but with action shots a little crop/center never hurts.

Which lens did you end up going with?

do you have a filter on the lens? if not the white balance, a filter may be to blame.

a hoya uv filter.....its pretty dark imo

maybe i need a lighter one

having this camera makes me so excited to get pics of the vr4 in the whole process of dropping my longblock in there....and then the finished pics...i need to get some nice shots of my assembled longblock which is in my family room lol
