shuter speed, aperture and ISO speed essentially work together like a balancing act to get the same thing (proper exposure).

think of it this way : to get a properly exposed image, you need to capture as much light in such a way that you expose the sensor with just the right amount (aperture), long enough (shutter speed) to register with the sensor (ISO speed) properly.

amazon was cheaper bc it had free shipping and no tax....i just payed more for the lens there....all in all it probably evened out

I'm new to photography also, I am stepping up to my first DSLR and really leaning toward the XTi Due to affordability, (my stealth drains my pockets), how do you like it so far? would any of you pro's recommend anything different, from what i've read it seems to be a little better quality than others in its price range
