I haven't owned either Tokina or Sigma although I can say that I absolutely detested the two Tamron lenses I owned along with my Nikon. They were just absolutely horrid.

There are canon lenses with shit reviews. In testing and reading reviews across a vast array of lens vendors, I've found that all companies make some shit lenses and all make some awesome lenses. The Tokina 11-16mm is supposed to be sick. I can't wait to try it.

Yea, most Tamron lenses look and perform like crap, but there are a select few that they actually put some serious work into. To be honest i didnt want to buy my lens because of the Tamron name, but there were just too many great reviews over this lens. Surprisingly it works great and is the sharpest zoom lens ive shot with.

Shoot with the 17-55mm IS.. You'll want her to bear your offspring. I hadn't felt that kind of rush since I tried my first 50mm 1.4 prime out.
