Default Help me pick a good Point and Shoot for my wife

Wife hates my Olympus camera, "it takes to long to shoot the picture and they are always fuzzy"

So basically she wants something a monkey can use and takes clear pictures of action shots.

I am last minute Mothers Day shopping for her. ( i know bad husband)

I ended up going with the cheaper one, it should make her happy and the money I saved will go towards my own DSLR.....

There was a good article on lifehacker.com today showing off some custom firmware for canon;s that enabled a ton of hidden professional features. Might be worth it to check it out.

pretty much any of the name brand cameras, even the lower end ones do a pretty nice job at taking pictures, at least the ones a female wants to make. I got a sony for my 12 year old, and a canon for the 16 year old. Not sure what i got the wife, i use a kodak easyshare myself, but everyone elses cameras are 6,7 or 10 mp now, mine is only 5. Really depends on what features they like. Action shots mean you want a fast shutter speed or one that has an adjustable shutter. The primary need for the 12 year old was a camera that would do videos with sound. Her sisters camera did video but no sound. (the price difference was only about 20.00 to get the sound and video so its worth the extra few bucks)

I have the Olympus C750 I like the camera as a whole, but it takes for ever to capture the picture and at times if you are not steady he doesn take fuzzy pictures. But I have had some good ones taken with it too. I probably have only used 10% of what the camera is capable of. Its supposed to have Panorama capabilities but I have never tried it.

in that case i dont think a new camera is really what you need since you will buy a new one and only use the 10% of what it is capable of. maybe take a course in photography or something. i dont mean that in a derogotory way. i just finished my first course and i feel i learned how to use my cameras attributes and not focus on its shortcomings.
