Default Dinner Party - Testing the New 50mm Out

Ok let me open with Holy God I love my 50mm f/1.8!!! Melis was right, oh boy was she ever right! This lens rocks (be it Canon or Nikon). My friends Eddie and Deanna just moved into a new apartment in Jersey City and decided to have a house warming. Here are a few of the better pics from the night:

Great pics!

I think the picture with only the girls tattoo's in color, should have the tattoo's color a little bit duller, and not so vibrant. That way it would still emphasize them but it wouldn't be as Intrusive. I don't know

Great pics though, thanks for sharing.

edit:
this is the picture im talking about, all the others with only the tattoo's colored look awsome imo.

Nice pictures!!! The F1.8 is sweet... but the 1.4 is much better (the Canon one anyway), yeah it's 3x more expensive but it's built a TON better.

This was f1.4 at 1/5000th

I was kicking you on the 50mm 1.8 before melis was...

But then, when melis tells someone to do something, they don't need no convincing...

I remember the thread he started about what lens to get to shoot a band or something.

Yeah I'm not so sure the 50mm would be best for shooting a band due to the very shallow depth-of-field unless you're just shooting one person at a time.

The 1.8 (or 1.4 in my case) is a great f-stop to have for available light, and the clarity is great... as long as you keep the exposure longer (ie. use the smallest apature possible)

I'd prefer something like the 24-70 F2.8 for that type of work, unless you are really far away, then the 70-200.
