Yeah I think i might hold out for the Mark V or maybe VI. It was only around a year and a half to 2 between the III and IV.

The IV is supposedly released to compete with the Nikon D3s....

Of course it was, now Nikon is going to come out with the D4 to compete with the IV.

If you can get a d3 for a great deal you should jump on that. Nikon glass is a little more expensive, but a D3 is a great body.
