this just ruined my plan of getting that bumper from extreme. since this is happening with the version 2 front bumper. i don't see any difference in any other bumper/body kit they are selling. no offense but when theres bad reviews to point it out. it's a harsh move to either pay up or go somewhere else for the same product.

If our products were really 50/50 in fitment then we wouldn't still be in business for over 8 years! We aren't out to "screw" anyone when they purchase our products, if anything, we want to help you any way that we can to make your experience with us and our products pleasant. superinflamo, if you have pictures of the fitment issues, please e-mail them to me so that I can show my management where the fitment issues are so that we can correct this for your friends on this forum and fellow 3000GT enthusiasts that purchase the bumper in the future to prevent anything like this from happening again. I do hope that we can resolve these issues and hopefully regain your business in the future. PM, e-mail, or call me directly anytime either of you want an after market aerodynamic part and I promise to take care of both of you and always steer you in the right direction. I have noticed that there are a decent amount of places and people in this industry that may not always take care of their customers to the best of their ability, but as long as I have a job here at Extreme Dimensions, I will do everything and anything that I can to make your purchases and experience with our company the best that you have ever had! -Thomas Extreme Dimensions Account Executive P: 714-278-8000 ext 17 E: thomasr@extremedimensions.com AIM, Yahoo, or MSN: AskExtremeD

Purchased bumper through Andy's Auto Sport..... Never dealing with them again...
andddddd no pictures of the bumper test fitted... but I will tell you one thing... the front crash bar, the aluminum piece, will not work with the version 2 bumper. I had to custom make a front crash bar to fit that was 1.5" thick. (I used steel piping, so its more of a battering ram now) |

Fiberglass = mess in the long run. Bends, warps, and cracks at high speeds. Our stock bumpers are polyurethane and hold up well. Why do you only make duraflex for our cars but make everything for hondas and v-dubs. I feel like we always get the short end of the stick with our cars.

. And it's only a few months old .Duraflex is just a fancy way of saying "fiberglass" for everyone reading this. Now.....if we got some polyurethane material for the version two...then we'd be talking! Btw Extreme Dimensions, if you guys feel like still helping me out with the extra money I had to put into YOUR bumper to get it fit properly and look great.... then by all means.... don't hold back! I know I won't be denying any money being given to me. |

From what I have seen (my friends rear bumper) the fitment was about 95% good just a couple gaps kept it from been 100%. Finish was bit more wavy than what I would like.
Also from another member that has the version 2 bumper and from the pics I saw of it, the fitment again was about a 95%, this is what he said to me. Quote:

wat ? i must have recieved the wrong bumper then, because mine was no where near 95 percent. unless you mean cutting it in half and taking a section out of it and refiberglassing it then while you are at it taking a dremel to it and sanding it. it really pissed me off. 395.27 something. my body guy showed me what needed to be done and he said by the end of it it would cost too much and too much of a waste of time.
here are the key things he pointed out to me. note all this happened in 2nd /3rdish week of july. 1. what the hell did you buy, is this the right bumper for your car ? its 5 something inches too long on the passenger side and 4 something inches too long on the driver. 2. he would have to mess around with the renforcement bar to get it on. 3. the shape of the bumper did not line up with the head lights, like one corner of the bumper would be lower then the other. 4. if it was possible for him to bend it a little to make it fit the front would bulge out. 5. something was screwed up about the flexability. 6. bumper already came with small cracks...no big deal cause the body guy would of fixed em. now, im out 395.27 cents...times that by me making 8 dollars an hour, how much time did i waste working and receiving nothing ? i purchased the bumper off of extreme demensions and what i have to say is this. tom, could you please take that stupid 48 shipping garauntee logo off of your website. it misslead me into buying from extreme demensions because i was naive in thinking that if i paid 175 dollars for shipping it would be at my door in 48 hours instead of 48 hours to leave the factory. and one last thing, you know that whole 30 day return thing you guys have going on ? well your right i did purchase it june 30ish.... and i had 30 days to ship it back. why cant you guys take into consideration the time it took to get to my door step ? it sure didnt take 2 days... it was a week, maybe a little bit more. i've lost track now because my new motto is "if this is the worst thing that happened to me so far, guess life isnt so bad" and besides its only money, money isnt everything am i not right ? but you could of actually took into consideration the time it took for it to get to my door step. because if you add things up those 30 days went by quick considering weekends nobody works or ships on those days and plus the holiday and me having to work around the auto body guys schedule. right now that bumper has been sitting at the shop since i dropped it off. i havent decided if i ever want to take it back to the house or leave it there because it is actually worthless, kinda hard to believe something that costs a bit of money is worth nothing. the auto body guy left the camera on and it died so he was not able to take pictures of the bumper lined up against the car. your a good guy tom, im not knocking you. just the company you work for. actually now that im thinking about it, if you could do 1 of 2 things for me i would be grateful. if you could either give me some kind of refund. or if you could just do this......Ask the designer of the bumper why he has grilled mesh behind the blinkers and if he knows the mesh will not be seen because the blinkers will cover it.... i was really curious about that. |

Hey everyone, sorry for taking so long to reply. This thread has gotten by me for some reason. Offspring, I definitely feel for you! Call me sometime today between now and 5pm PST and I will see what I can do for you. As far as return policy time period, we do take into consideration of shipping time. We count 30 days from the day that the part(s) are delivered, otherwise, it would just be unfair like you have mentioned. It is also possible that you did receive a defective bumper in this case. Thats why we ask that the part be test fitted before it is modified so that if the part is defective we can help you out by either offering you credit to fix the part or send you out a new one if we have another one in stock and the measurements are different from yours. We would just simply have who ever is doing the install fill out a simple case worksheet and snap a few pictures and e-mail them to us. Then our customer service would find the best way to help you out. Either way though, Offspring, call me and I will see what I can do for you. If anyone else has any questions please let me know.
