Wired up the ecs switch as hi/low boost switch. Removed upper timing belt cover all looks ok. Noise seemed to go away after turning aircon off. Turned back on but noise hasn't come back again yet. Now sitting at car wash. Will try to give it a quick polish before ng.
I have a fully working antenna I just pulled out from my car, if you're interested I will bring it to the Syd meet (assuming you are attending?). It works fine, only removed it because I didn't like the look of it...

I was looking at something similar with the ECS... but instead of it being for boost, i was thinking about wiring it up to the variable exhaust... so normal mode would be closed, sport mode would be open... how'd u wire it dude?

You will need a spare set of switches for the right hand side as they are standard captive on off while the ecs is a momentary switch. You need to use a part from inside the other switch. I'll take some pics in the next few days.
