Default Evo Viii Mr Bov

Just swapped my GReddy Type-S BOV that i've been using for a brand new EVO VIII MR BOV. I never did like the whistle noise of the GReddy and it had to go. While I was at it I also removed the silencer inside the air intake hose bubble.

The EVO BOV installs very easily on our cars, and it has a metal body and won't leak like the stock valve. Sounds great too.

For those interested I bought it from here:

Didn't bother taking any pics as it's just a direct swap and installs the same as the stock valve. The only thing extra I did was cable tie it to the hard clutch line, pulling it out of the way, so it doesn't interfere with the shift cables, which is sometimes a problem if you have a six speed.

yeah tell me about it

do you find your clutch hard line gets as hot as hell after a long drive?

I might actually get one of those...I'm a bit sick of the Psshht and the sudden richness after every gear change.

Haven't really checked to see how hot it gets, ill have a look next time.

What BOV are you running at the moment?

The EVO BOV still makes a fairly decent sound for a closed loop BOV but nothing too over the top. The fact that I have a K&N filter and removed the silencer may give a minimally better sound due to more air flow...

Not sure how this BOV would handle higher horsepower applications?
