Arrow Battery enclosures

Mike - yours is too small for me, but I found this at Rocket -
battery box.jpg

$170 shipped to my door. It's sealed with tubing to run to the outside of the car. I don't like the big ass boxes you can buy from all the car shops (Auto pro/Supercheap etc) so this one looks good.

Any other options?

Scotty

Does that tiny tube qualify as "vented to the atmosphere"?

lol, that's the same box i have

the tube can be any size...the battery ain't going to produce THAT much gas, what's important is that it vents outside. the boxes from autopro/supercheap are actually not certified so it's a good thing you did not get any of them!

ohh, it's Jaz battery box, JAZ700-500-01 -

cost around $150 or something, Dimensions 10.5x13x9.5" according to their site Smile

since my last posts I put the stereo back in and disconnected the glowy stuff, not a single problem with battery drain since then :| seriously...it's GLOWING yeah was pretty bad rice Very Happy

for it to be racing legal the box needs to have the vent ducted to outside the car (even if your battery is sealed) and you need to have a cut off that is switchable from outside the car...so you basically also need one of these:

FR1003-2 -

I have not hooked a cut-off in yet as I'm not quite in and racing waiting on a friend to finish his RX7

Yes Mike, it's a jaz. And if you paid about $150 then I'm guessing it's about the right price. Think I'll order that tomorrow. I already have the isolated battery switch in the engine bay so I'm all set.
