Arrow Australian National Gathering 04 location - vote here

So where do you guys want it and who is going to organise it? I know throwing Perth in the mix is crazy, but I can make these promises: it would be a cracking meet & my car would be running. Yes really.

The states most viable for this are Melbourne, Perth and Sydney as we have active members in those states that can put together an awesome meet. We spoke with Matt (mtonkin) at ANG03 and he is prepared (along with his lovely lady) to put together a spectacular gathering in 2013 if it is held in Queensland. Now, we have good people in good places to help us out. Now if my memory serves me right, Mitch's (mechanicalshutdown) missus works in a travel agency and can sort us out for free. Well, maybe not free, but she said she will look after us. (topless beer wenches in first class maybe out of the question, but I will enquire) If it's not Mitch's lass, then it's someone elses but it's real, not like Joe's Carting trophies. Pete (ausgt3) girl Jess works for Toll so we may have cheaper access to a truck for transporting the cars if people are keen on the long drive to wherever. There's lots to talk about here so please put your ideas forward and any suggestions you want to.

I've included Alice Springs as a separate location.

Anyways, on with zi voting.

Scotty

My suggestion is Gold Coast, lots of stuff to do up there and some great drives in the hinterland, mt tamborine. lamington national park, oreillys.

I'll be happy to drive wherever, the drive there and back is just as fun as the cruise.

My vote is for Brisbane or Melbourne again, you all know we have the best driving roads if held in Brissy i guess the Melbourne crew could meet with the Sydney crew for the drive up, which would make things more interesting.

Good outdoor gokarting in goldcoast but it's a LONG way from Melbourne. That also means people driving need to take off 4 days just for the driving portion. Also becomes more expensive. The trip cost me north of $800 when taking into account accommodation etc. Driving to QLD would add another 2 days of accom. I don't know if I would be willing to drive that far or afford it.

True it is a expensive trip to get there and back, but it would be fun.

Have you been to Le Mans go karts in Dandenong? They have a awesome outdoor track and 100km/h karts.

Another good one is the indoor place in Port Melbourne they combine go karts and paint ball for large groups.

I wish I could say Perth will happen, but until we get sponsors, the Perth meet will consist of Glen, myself and maybe Pete for an hour or two.
