I recently changed my black 1998 gto garnish (with the GTO lettering) to a 1999 style, still undecided to weather it looks better...might hang onto the old one just in case.
Also I assume youre after the later generation gto garnish as opposed to the first gen one, and what garnish do you have atm?

You shouldn't hang on to it. You should donate it to the needy.
Yeah, I'm trying to find the second generation GTO garnish. I've got a second generation 3000gt garnish that I'm willing to trade as well. Maybe we could work something out?
These are often listed on ebay, there are quite a few listed atm but no red ones. I would keep checking ebay until a red one pops up, after all mine is black and your car is red

Yeah, I do check every once in a while. Except I've never seen a red one. Plus a trade or direct import would probably be cheaper for me.
