Kinda long story, but can sum it up;
GTOs are not approved/road legal for use in Norway because they lack european crash tests or atleast documents on such matter. They also lack every other ECE documents as well. Even though they are all manufactured at the same plant in Japan with the same unibodys and specs, GTO's are not road legal because of this.
For me to get the car legal I would have to buy another 100% identical (model/year/specs) and have it tested and finally crashed down in Germany by TÜV. Oh yeah, I'd have to pay for it too of course. About $160 000 and upwards. Just for one car. And the road legal docs will only apply to the twin car of the car tested, so a bunch of owners could not get together to split the bill to have a dozen cars approved.
So, part out time.
Atleast I have 3 VR-4's that are approved and legal. Too bad this gem of a car wont be on the road again though
