My car is not quite done, so I dont have any pictures of the beam pattern, but here is the initial look.
got them all set up relatively easily after I got the wiring information from Robert over the phone. ![]()

Curious to know where you hid the ballasts?
Do you still have the ability to do high/low beam? I just installed an H3 kit and an H4 kit from Ebay... eBay Motors: hid kit xenon conversion H1/H3/H4/H7/H11/9004/9006/9007 (item 170258166908 end time Sep-05-08 21:51:01 PDT) For the main lights (H4), we only have one intensity. Did I wire something wrong? I've got to admit, it looks pretty sweet (this is on my son's 93 VR4)... Did you have fits trying not to pinch wires? Bob.

here's what it would look like: ![]() that doesn't look like the pic they have for their h4 bulb. this may be why u don't have low/high beams.

Thanks Tri. I was going to PM you as you seem VERY intimate with HID. No, the bulb did not have that sliding metal, so I'm going to assume that its a single purpose bulb. I have to tell you my son loves his new H3/H4 HID setup. It took us "several" hours to properly hide/mount the ballasts AND make sure no wires got pinched in the Pop Up mechanism, but it all turned out great!! He wants me to do the Spyder and Stealth now (for ~$120 for the fog/low conversion, it might make a nice b-day or X-mas present). This is DEFINATELY NOT a plug and play deal. The connectors on the fog light wiring needed to be changed as well as the connector on the headlights. The "buckets" of the old headlights needed to be dremmelled out some to accept the new housings. I would rate this a 6 out of 10 difficulty if you have little electrical knowledge/background (and even harder if you're totally clueless when it comes to anything mechanical or electrical!!!). Bob. |

Bob, yeah, i went thru an ORDEAL with pinching wires. lol. yeah, there are shops that sell those h4 bulbs, but u just gotta remember to make sure it says bi-xenon h4. otherwise, you're just getting a standard bulb with an h4 socket. what kind of h4 housing did u go with? i installed my ballasts on the inside of the fenders and extended the wires for the bulbs.

eBay Motors: 91-94 MITSUBITSHI 3000GT EURO HID XENON BLUE HEADLIGHTS (item 300252444291 end time Aug-24-08 12:53:15 PDT) And he bought his HIDs from this vendor... eBay Motors: hid kit xenon conversion H1/H3/H4/H7/H11/9004/9006/9007 (item 170254839781 end time Aug-24-08 13:06:14 PDT) We also hid the ballasts in the fender well, but our wires were long enough to reach without extensions. We hid the ballasts for the fogs almost right behind the fog lights (just happens to be a fairly flat open area of metal right behind both )Bob. |

wow, so no projectors? if he doesn't have any projectors, that's pretty much like having a regular h4 bulb in there. i know it's brighter, but the beam pattern must be scattered like a kaleidoscope.
