Default Input Shaft Bearing

I have had a couple problems with two different Input shaft bearings that I purchased through you. I sent you a e-mail a week + ago, no response. Would you please be kind enough to respond to my e-mail.

Many Thanks,

Mike

Please send the bearings back to SCE so we can address the issue with the bearing manufacturer. Philip will send you an email response as well. Regards,

Wayne

The manufacturer is inspecting the failed bearing that I received. Once I hear from them, I will post the results. The earlier reports were that such problems occurred several years ago and were contained. If they recurred, I will let you know.

I can't wholeheartedly recommend this product because of the known failures. The failure rate is still in single digits, so if you have no other options, like a good used bearing, you might want to give this a try. My only alternative is to pull the product off the shelves for good. I may have to do it, if this keeps hurting the SCE reputation. But then you won't be able to buy anything.

I have an update. The manufacturer has admitted problems with some of these bearings. Based on how many they sold, and how many they heard went bad, they are not producing them anymore. They would issue refunds for any of their failed bearing that was recently purchased (about one year, I was told).

If you recently bought any of these input shaft bearing from Supercar Engineering and they failed, please send them back, along with the note telling the date of purchase, and I will issue a refund. Thank you.

Mike, I sent you a private email about issuing a refund. You PayPal does now work, it appears. Thank you.

Philip
