Default Solids on a n/a ATX

I was wondering if anyone had installed solid mounts on an auto trans. Just curious if they caused anything abnormalities. I have a mildly built auto and was just wondering if I should worry about anything breaking. The vibrations are not an issue since I drove darksurfr car and honestly it felt badass.

I know there are a few auto's running them and I at least haven't heard of any complaints. I don't see any reason they would cause issues on an Auto.

My G/F has had solids on her ATX for the past 10,000 miles.

No problems!

i have solids on mine... but I have N/A MTX, I have absolutely no issues, I don't see why the ATX would be any different

side note, It makes a hell of a difference having those solids on

Thanks for all the replys, I will be getting the solids soon and will be posting my thoughts. I can't wait for these since my motors mounts are completely shot and banging on my hood and firewall

I have had the solid mounts for 4+ years now. Never any issues. Everyone always told me they would cause damage or the drive would be intolerable due to the extra vibrations felt in the car. I have never thought the extra vibration was that bad.

It's a piece of cake on an NA. Go buy a socket set and a long 3' extension and you'll be able to crack it out in an afternoon. Only tricky part is getting them to line up correctly and that just takes some patience.

Alright so the install wasn't that bad. The side mounts came out fairly quick and the front mount was a little pain in the ass because my car is cali spec and the precat was in the way of two bolts. The pin on the front mount had to be cut because the pre cat was in the way and didnt allow enough room to pull it out, so instead of taking the precat out we just cut the bolt and replaced it. The rear was easy we just had to take the heat shield in order to pull the stock mount out. The install was done in 5 hours which included a trip to lowes to get a new bolt and washer, probaly could of done it quicker but we where taking our time cleaning the bolts and what not. Also we didnt have issues with things lining up we just installed the sides first and the front and rear just installed without any issues.

As far as my personal feelings on the mounts. I like how they felt on acceleration but they might cause more vibrations than I desired. Scott agree that they vibrated my car way more than his stealth TT. My guess is that its because I have an auto trans. When I'm idling it shakes like crazy and creates this muffled sound in the cabin but when I put it in neutral its less harsh, almost feels like his TT. Also theres a whinning noise during acceleration and it also sounds like I have an exhaust (Im 100% stock). The mounts are great well built, but I was just not expecting all these extra noises and vibrations(assume it was going to be like the TT that I test drove with solids)so Im no too happy but not too sad...lol I'll probaly just get use to it.

Bump your idle up a touch. I guarantee it will cure some of your issues.

I've had Terry's solids for almost a year now. Still love them.
