Cool Re: TD05 16G kit fitment

Mine was riding right up against the front header exactly like Turbo79's was. I called IPS and they told me to just bend it out of the way but that line is pretty freakin solid and I don't have vice or anything with which to bend it with. So I had it cut, rotated about 7-10 degrees, and re-welded. That should put it a good inch away from the header. I'm going to start putting the front header and turbo on tomorrow so I should know by then how it came out.

Technically you don't NEED to cut and rotate it, you can just bend it manually if you've got a long crow bar or something I suppose.

Regarding these fitment issues, I've had all the same issues as Turbo79 (my rear turbo waste gate just barely hit the AC line tho, not as bad as his was) and we both have 95 VR-4's so maybe it's a 95 thing?? I haven't tried the front oil return line yet but I'll bet it's going to be short just like Turbo79's. I'll know for sure in a bout 48 hours.

Its a bummer, because all they need to add is 1-2" to their returns to ahve plenty of spare line or for 90 extra bucks or w/e supply the nessecary AN fittings and 3ft of SS line and call it a day.

Cool Re: TD05 16G kit fitment

Actually my rear oil return line was about an inch too long but I managed to get it to work.

Thumbs up Re: TD05 16G kit fitment

I got the front turbo oil return line to fit without too much of a problem at all. And after cutting and rotating the flange on the AC condenser line ~7 degrees, it now clears the front header by almost an inch. Check it out:

So basically the only issues I had with the entire install was needing to remove that bracket up front for the oil feed line to fit and and needing to cut, rotate and re-weld the AC condenser line to clear the front header. If anyone else has the same issue with the front AC line go ahead and use my previous pics for a reference of how much to rotate it. I suppose you could just bend it out of the way but that's a pretty tough line to bend so I opted to go the other route.

If your exhaust manifold is touching your AC line, you will loose your AC. The temp is just too hot. You will have to bend or cut/reweld the line.

Sorry for the late reply. Wasn't monitoring this thread.

I'm glad that you got your oil line working. My concern with the front line (other than it being short) is that it is slightly "up hill" at one point and may back oil into the trubo.

Its a shame that you had to do so much work to keep your AC.

I'll have pictures later about another concern with the adapter coating.
