Funny thing my title got changed here on the forums from IPS is misleading to rod issue and the post was closed for some reason. Funny thing (I spent a ton of money IPS over 20,000 dollars) after looking at the crank bearings I noticed my engine had crower rods and Jeff reccomended me pauter and my invoice indicated that I had bought pauter rods. I will let you figure this one out. One of the crank arms looked like a dremel tool had been take to it just beside the one of the rod caps, this couldn't have been my crank with only 9000 miles on it. Jeff told me on at least two ocassions that the crank only needed polishing and not need turned however the crank bearings are 25 thousandths indicating it had been turned. My engine has ate 2 sets of main bearings in less than 2000miles. When I first got the car back it was running hot and pressurizing the coolant system, found that was because of a blown head gasket. The car has surged during idle since getting it back, no doubt being the main bearing problem. Timing was set 3 notches advanced on the from intake cam only and not the rear intake cam. Just popped the oil pan and the second set of Main bearings IPS installed is eaten. Just like the first set on a complete rebuild performed by IPS. During the installlation of the second set of bearings I had a Kormex tranny installed by IPS failed in only 500 miles. One other note, it was pulling teeth getting my old parts back and still have not got some of them back to this day and do not want them back at this point. I have spent over 100 hours going over the car since getting it back from IPS. I have contacted IPS many times and with no help with the cars problems, at best just getting the go around.

I believe he stated you drive your car really hard and had a boost spike of 28psi. Jeff is a good guy and I am sure if you just call him he'll go over everything with you. Although he is hard to get a hold of since he is so busy. I wouldn't recommend making this thread over and over again its just not the best idea.

Pick up the phone and call me (Or answer yours) and I will be more than happy to discuss your engine issues with you. Until then, you can start threads about me installing the wrong colored air freshener all you want as they will be locked.
