Exclamation Deft Products

can you explain to me why the products for the stealth and 3kgt prices are double the price of everything else? is it a supply and demand thing? vertical doors are double the price of everyone else's doors. and the hoods are about the same way. im not trying to start a problem i just want to understand why ours is more then everyone else's hood and vertical doors.

I can't speak for Bill, or Deft Racing, but I think you hit the nail on the head... If you consider that many makes of cars have more produced in one year then our cars had for their entire production years combined you will come to realize that if it takes XX dollars to develop and produce something that the cost will be that number divided by the number likely to be sold (including a margin of profit of course).

Looking at it that way you will clearly see that while he may sell, for example, 200 of one of our hoods, he will easily sell 400-500 of a similar design for a different car, soley because more of them exist.

Its just math!!! I have dealt with BILL on many purchases and he has yet to give me ANY reason to doubt him or Deft in any aspect!

hope that helps,
Xy

and Bill, feel free to correct me if im wrong, or support me if I am right

I don't know about the hoods, but the VLS kit that Bill sells for our cars are specifically designed to fit our cars with very little modifications. The kits that he sells for other cars are a one size fits all kind of kit which require some welding and modifications to make them work.

I think Bill has mentioned in the past that he gets the raw CF for hoods in 2 widths, most car hoods can use the smaller size, but 3/S hoods are pretty wide and so he has to use the larger, more expensive width. Plus CF prices have gone through the roof recently, the demand is exceeding the supply.
