That's SUTHNR's Car, Eric Bowden.
He installed an eram on it 8 years ago. I beleive this was before 3SX existed and it is defiantely before Eric worked there, If you search the archives you will find several threads on it. http://www.3si.org/forum/f13/e-ram-i...n-93-r-t-3495/ http://www.3si.org/forum/f13/eram-4446/index3.html I believe Roger Gerl dyno'd it and got 6-8 HP using it He even experimented with running 2-erams. I believe he used some huge car sterio Capacitors to keep them running at full speed for long enough. In this thread he siad it dropped 1-2 tenths off his QTR times but it butrned up and the plastic was cracking Anyone tried this electric supercharger on a NA Initally he liked it but in later threads he claimed it didn't help much. http://www.3si.org/forum/f13/new-ele...ck-out-144796/

Yeah, I had installed the eram eons ago. Tried it out and gave it a good solid chance. But the build quality of it just wasn't there. Plastic tube for one, eventually just cracked and crumbled to bits. No idea how much the engine actually belched thru, but at least it's plastic. The motor itself could actually move a hellacious amount of air, and if you weren't firmly holding on to it when you plugged it in it could literally thrust itself out of your hands. BUT... You can only run it for like 15 seconds at a time or it'll overheat. I sent it in twice for service and replacement of something cuz it kept burning out. I finaly got to the point where I just unplugged it and just had it inline. Once I finally found the right chrome piping about 3 years ago, it finally was physically removed from the engine bay. But its overall used lifecycle in my car was less than a year. It did seem to help a tad in the 1/4 but due to overheating couldn't ever get some thorough testing of it. And there's no way it'd serve any purpose on a roadcourse - too much time on the track - it would fry in the first lap.
As for the pic of my engine bay on their site, that's something they nabbed years ago, and at that point it wasn't even being used anymore - was just still mounted inline. So the short of it is, I would not recommend it for the 3S platform. EricB
