Remove the actuator so you can clock the comp housing to fit your needs. One of my favorite things about this kit is that you can do that. I have mine clocked to use all the stock i/c pipes.

Matt, did you have to clock them alot? Do you think you could take a pic of the front to show where yours is? I think the back does not move, but the front compressor housing has to turn.

Thanks,
Shane

Hey Shane, Mine are clocked exactly like the 9b's. It's mainly the front one and I believe I turned it about 180 degrees.

If you look on www.stealth316.com it should have a right up on clocking the turbo. You can clock or rotate the compressor housing, however, then you need to worry about getting the wastegate to sit right, probably have to make something custom. Anyways, yest take the clamp off, then take the compressor housing off, look for metal pin that locks it in place, keeps it from turning, then drill the metal pin out.

(edit): Correct, I didn't take into account the 3SX kit is externally wastegated. I'm still thinking in the realm of the Titan kits where I had to clock my compressor housings.

On the 3SX kit you do not need to remove or loosen the clamp. You need to remove (or loosen) the snap ring that holds on the compressor housing. Turn the compressor housing to fit your needs, and then install the snap ring. The 3SX kit uses external wastegates so you do not have to hassle with the internal actuators. One of my favorite things about this kit (besides the HP ) is that you do not have to mess with lining up the actuators with the comp housing and flapper arm

Regarding that snap ring, make sure you buy a good pair of snap ring tools, if you get the discount auto parts version it might be some frustration involved.

Loosening the metal band is a lot easier than loosening the snap ring. +1 on a good pair of snap ring plyers
