Can anyone here weld aluminum? - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

I cracked my intake manifold (off of my Explorer) and I need it welded. Real small crack, shouldn't take long to weld. Doesn't need to be pretty, just enough to seal the crack.

Trying to get this done tomorrow (1/3). I know it's short notice, but I'm borrowing a car and need to get their car back ASAP.

take it to any exhaust shop they can prob weld it for a couple of bucks

I didn't think any of those places could weld aluminum though? They just deal with steel.

if it doesnt need to be pretty they can do it or a body shop can.

I know local members on here have connections, but if you dont get a response quick enough. Take it up to ABEL Racing in Midwest City, Erwin there is a masterful aluminum welder.
And trust me Ive tried alot of exhaust shops and they didnt touch aluminum.
