someone should make these gauges!

just bored and messin around with some pics i've got on photobucket and made a variation of the stock gauges that would look sweet.

Same design and all, but instead of having the numbers and markings be backlit, have only their boarders be backlit... if you know what i mean?

oh and puttin a thin, non-transparent black strip down the middle of the needles so you only see the orange boarder on the needles.

finally, leave a semi-transparent ring wherever there is a hole in the plastic cover (aluminum accent piece for you fancy folk ) so it looks like each opening has a hazy glow...

could make it in any color... i think it looked best in blue... good contrast from the red needles...

i'd rather figure out a way to replace the entire gauge cluster with a 9" widescreen lcd. for digital readouts.

negative. i'm well aware of dakota digital. their product is nothing i'd ever use.

i'm glad to see that someone's finally got enough balls to bring it to market. now all we need is someone intelligent enough to make one for the aftermarket crowd.

analog gauges are SO outdated. dakota digital ones are fugly. give me something that doesn't look like i simply slapped a new backpiece onto my stock gauges. give me programmable, customizable, 32 bit color LCD monitor instrument displays.

needles and borders look easy to do but not sure about the white borders around the bluenumbers. Cant figure that one in my head(looks like to much work). Regular white numbers would be easier. Nice theme
