Yesterday my driver's window made a loud pop when it reached the up (closed) position. Today I pushed the button for the window to go down, and I think the window fell down instead of going slowly (I'm not sure because I was watching the passenger window).
Now the window won't go back up. When I press the button for it to go up, there is still a motor moving inside, but the window remains stationary. I'm not sure what's wrong because I haven't removed the door panels yet. I was thinking a bad regulator or the window came off the track. Any ideas of what happened or what to look for when I remove the door panel?

The plastic piece pictured here broke off from the pulley.

I believe the pulley rivet is supposed to help hold that plastic guide in place as well as the tabs on the sides. That is unusual it popped out of the track without being completely mangled/broken. Both mine were a wreck when I went in to replace them. As mentioned, Regulators USA out of NY is a great place to get rebuilt assemblies from for something like $125 (passenger) & $135 (driver) after the cores are sent in. He actually reinforces this section with a piece of metal and it really looks and functions nicely for the price.
