Default Amber Dashboard lights

The lights on my dash; spedo, tach and fuel are dimming. I pulled the dash and took all the bulbs out. What type are they, and do I need to replace the little plastic holders, or just the bulbs?

Thanks.

i had to change the same bulb in my 3000. i work at autozone and its not a bulb sold in stores. i found them in a junkyard. just about any vehicle takes the same bulb and you can replace just the bulb. i took one from a toyota truck.

the bulbs are speacial cause the start small and then grow fatter, all you have to do i buy slim one they start small and end small, and the number is 74 i think the universal one is 94 they are the same. and you can replace them with what ever color you want, here is where i get them from

Have you checked the dimmer switch on your dash yet?

Yeah i checked it and I found the bulb at napa 10 for 10 dollars. They were number 74.
The old ones just pop out if you gently use a pair of needlenose pliers. Don't do it in the car because I shattered a few by accident.

i just use a thin towel or paper towel to protect the bulb, its a pain in the butt when they brake and you can't remove the smaller peices.
