I had this issue once. I ran over to Big O Tires and borrowed their set. The car had a flat and was 2 miles from their shop. It looks like a socket, only is left hand threaded. The more you turn it counter clockwise, the more it grips. Worked great. The guy said the whole kit for all 5 sizes that this kit had was like $60. Not a bad deal.

what size socket do I use. I bought a set of 12pt sockets. I'm having the same issue and my apartment is trying to tow my car.

nevermind, 3/4. And I used a ratchet and it came off with ease. I used a 1/3 of my strenth and it just glided off
