Personally preference, the only problem with an open atmosphere one is that you vent off metered air, so you may notice the engine bog down slightly after a shift.

I run open atmos with a hks ssq and the only issue I find is if I gun it past 3k rpms and then drop it into neutral, the car wants to die out. But I've found that my driving style, even aggressive driving style, doesnt put myself in the position to stall out.

I honestly didnt notice any performance boost going from stock to the hks, but it makes the car sound pretty sweet.

so you think a recirculating like the stock one would help anything? would it sound better?

You really won't get any performance from swapping a BOV, you pretty much just get the sound. Oh and the only time I really notice my open atmos BOV is on a shift when my car is in open loop. Getting a different BOV but still recircing will give you a different sound but not as noticable as an open atmos.

i think the HKS SSQV sounds amazing, then you can turn up your boost and it makes a new sound at higher boost, and makes you even happier you have one. i have no stalling problems and only run a little rich if i blow off hard, not a huge deal, just dont drive stupid.

i think some aftermarket recirc valves like the greddy will make more sound than the stock, but not nearly as loud or cool as a vent to atmosphere

i have an open blitz, makes a great noise, but tries to stall when i shift to neutral.

the way i see it, the only performance benefit you get is that you are able to hold higher psi without leaking, 3si lore is that the stock bov leaks.
