Default weird noise.

SO i was driving the other night and my rear wheels locked up. i pulled over thinking it was my transfer case, jacked the car up to see a pair of blue jeans wrapped around my drive shaft where it connects to the rear axel. so i tried to cut them off with a box cutter and i released the drive shaft from the grip of the pants, but they had gotten pushed up above the area where it connects to the axel.

Today, i was driving and my car started making a high pitch squealing noise like metal on metal, coming from the rear of the car. So when i got home, i jacked it up to see the pants hanging from my car and i finally got them out. ill post a picture later. they are torn to hell.

It only does it when i am moving so its not in the engine, and only does it some of the time. I dont know if its a break pad, or something to do with the drive shaft, VCU, or anything elase that could be affected like that.

any input of what might be damaged from the incident would help.

thanks
joel
