Default TT Conversion help

i just did the twin turbo conversion with the AWD trans. my viscus coupler unwelded itself. has anyone else had this problem. the reason it was welded was to keep it locked in FWD. i have herd rumors of a kit to keep an AWD trans locked in FWD????

theres an os block off plate kit, but thats about it as far as a kit goes. You welded the vcu which is what your supposed to do. I haven't heard of the weld breaking but I would assume you should get a new (busted) vcu and weld it or re-weld your existing one if possible.

well the people who welded it before didnt know how much they needed to weld it because they have never done it before. but they are fixing it now. does it hurt the trans by welding it into FWD??

Not as long as its welded correctly and the vcu has been totally drained. The goo in it isnt supposed to be good for the syncros. ES_3000TT or something like that has done a NICE step by step write up how to do it properly
