If so what would be the point of getting an aftermarket exhaust if you have no engine mods? What would be the point of dropping 800 dollars to get a 3" exhaust which dosent really do anything for you unless you have a turbo, etc.

It's not only the diameter that helps, but mainly the bends. The stock downpipe doesn't flow well at all (take a look at it lol) and there are a lot a unnecessary bends through the exhaust.
