Default ?'s about a 3000gt im looking at getting

Hey everyone, this is one of my firsts posts but i've been reading up and learning as much as i can. There is a 93 base 3000gt automatic for sale where i live. They are asking $3295 for it but i was able to talk the guy down to $3000 for it. It has a few little issues that i noticed such as the vents are cracked (common, I know), the windshield is cracked (he said he would replace it for free), missing the passenger side wiper arm, the drivers side window wont go down (probably the motor), the ac belt squeals when the ac is on, and probably the biggest problem is that the odometer reads 97,579 miles but the guy said that he pulled a carfax and last year it was at 101,xxx miles. He said that the previous owner had changed out the cluster, also the tach doesnt work due to this. Is it a bad idea to buy this with the odometer not reading the actual miles? Any suggestions, comments, or advise you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

-Josh

Josh:

Where are you located? The odometer issue seems pretty shady. Why did the previous owner need to change it out?

Any more details about the car?

leave it alone. 1. its automatic. 2. you dont know the miles and motor might be extremely hing on miles. 3. your going to spend more than the 200 something that you brought the price down to fix that stuff. go to autotrader.com or cars.com and find you a manual 3000gt possibly an SL i bought my 99 Base for 5000 and all that stuff was on the car and worked be patient young patawon. it will come to you.

if you JUST want a car you can drive around dont buy it, when I bought my project it was basicaly just a chassis anyway so I dont care about miles. If your buying it to just have a 3s, get one in good shape. These cars are super difficult and super easy to obtain at the same time, all about the right place at the right time.

Skip this one, you dont find 3s's, 3s's find you ;-D

Cars.com: 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL

here is a link to a black 95 SL thats 4000 i know its a thousand more but its just anexample of what you sholud be looking at. once you get a 3s your gonna want more power at least with an SL you have the TT option with the base its alot harder to turbo.
