Default possible cracked head gasket?

so my cars been overheating for the past couple of months (put in storage for winter and repairs) and its most likely a cracked head gasket. if i drive the car normally the car will not over heat except maybe 3 hours of highway driving. if i drive the car agressively (especially 3rd gear and up) it will quickly overheat. when it does overheat my cooling system empty's through the overflow reservoir. i was at my local autozone and saw this stuff called blue devil and costs 60 bucks.it has a gaurantee to fix a cracked head gasket if the car can idle for 50 mins without overheating but idk if its worth the risk. any other opinions? i heard a head gasket repair job is around 1500 so idk wat my options are. any feedback would be appreciated

First off, do it right or don't do it at all.

Check your compression to test for a cracked head gasket. Check your coolant for oil and check your oil for coolant. Your oil will be "milky" and have bubbles in it. Check the oil level as well. It doesn't sound like a bad head gasket as much as it sounds like an issue with your cooling system.

you might save time and money if you take it to a radiator shop and have the check the cooling system.. you might just need a radiator..or fuse for fans.. I could be anything, but it does not sound like a blown headgasket

Note: if you keep driving it the way it is... you can blow the headgasket and warp the head.

i have gotten a coolant flush and a new radiator and the fans turn on when they are supposed too. there is no oil in the coolant and the oil appears to be fine. i brought it to mitsu dealership nearby and they said it was a bad radiator and thats why i bought a radiator and installed it myself (they wanted over 500 just for an oem radiator with no installation). they said they could not duplicate the overheating problem which i said id do it for them if needed. simply fut it in 3rd and give it wot a few times on the hw and itd happen. gonna have to do the compression test next i suppose. thanks for the help

Thats because everyone keeps guessing and throwing parts at their cars hoping to to get it right- when all they really need to do is to run a combustion leak test to check coolant for CO2. Depending on where a headgasket fails, it may never allow coolant and oil to mix so this is not the best method of diagnosis. Running a combustion leak test is the fastest way to at least confirm that the headgasket is intact and can at least eliminate that as your problem source if the test comes out negative.
