Mitsubishi Noob needs help please.

Just got this car about a month ago. Ran good but I thought it should run better. I replaced the plugs and wires. Since I had it apart I went ahead and cleaned the TB and intake and the maf. Put it back together ran really bad. So i turned the biss got it where I thought would be good. Drove ok. So I changed the fuel filter. Now it's no good at all. It will idle fine but once you put your foot in it she falls on her face. Cuts out spits and sputters. I'm lost here. Any ideas would be great. Thanks

Cleaning the MAF really can't be done on these cars for what it's worth

What trim level? TT or n/a car? Sounds almost like a boost leak but dunno if you're turbo or not

Double check all electrical connections, and double check the plenum is tightened down all the way.

If your car was running fine before, it should still do so. You might have mishandled the installation process of the parts you replaced. Make sure everything is in place. If you can't figure out the problem just contact a local mechanic to help you out.

What are your plugs telling you? Too rich or too lean? Just use the front 3 and assume the same on the back 3 for now

Mitsubishi Re: Noob needs help please.

I've checked everything I had to take apart for the job. Everything seems to be good. I've also checked vacuum hoses. I have not taken the front plugs out yet but she is running rich. I've been a mechanic for a little over 15 years now. And this is driving me crazy. There is no visible reason for the car to run this way. But I've never worked on imports. The only thing I notice is the upper part of the intake you can hear the air flowing through. Not sure if this is a normal noise for this car or not.

Double check your intake plenum is on all the way and sealing properly. Next step would be to try running it with a known-good maf
