-What are the most suggested modifications ("must-haves") for a non-turbo 3000GT/Stealth?

Well there aren't ALOT of things that you can do with the engine of an N/A without making it a TT. Here's a list in steps.

First Stage:
-Testpipe
-New plugs, get NGK coppers. Their great, the only downside is that you gotta change them around every 10k and their cheap as dirt too.
-New wires, MSD one's are great. IPO sells 8.5 Superconductors for 65 shipped If not you can always get some Accels.
-Make sure that you replace the throttle body and plenum gaskets when you change your wires and plugs.
-Get an air intake. IPO sells them for 65 shipped and it's bolt on comes with filter and MAF adapter. There are a wide variety of filters and air intakes that you can buy, i just said IPO because he sells them for cheap and im looking at his site and saw them lol.

Second Stage:
-Get a 3sx performance pulley. You can either get the underdrive or the one that's the stock size. I personally recommend getting the stock size one because it will do just the same thing that the underdrive will do and it won't slow down your accessories. Again that's totally up to you.
-Get a good clutch, maybe ACT or some others, there's a pretty good variety of them. But make sure it's a good known and can handle a decent amount of ft/lb. RPS is also a great brand preferred by our members.
-You should get an aluminum flywheel, most likely Fidanza or something of that sort.
-Lower your car with Intrax or Eibach. These are springs and if you want flexible you can go with TEIN, or some other brand like JIC. But Intrax springs work great and their pretty cheap.
-Get some support on the front and end of the car, what the heck am i talking about? Well get a front strut bar and rear strut bar, thse will help alot with body roll and increase cornering capabilites. If you have the extra cash then also get some sway bars.

Third Stage:
-Exhaust, there are MANY different types of setups that you can do. You can get an aftermarket exhaust or go to a shop and have them make you a custom setup like Fireman or Wicked. You can find more details about these setups here
-Downpipe, 3sx sells great downpipes.
-New motor mounts, the old ones should be all flimsy by now. If you start your engine and it looks like its gonna come out and bite ya in the ass then get some new mounts. 3sx, and Maximal Peformance sell them for a good price.
-Aftermarket cam gears

Stage Four:
-Ah the wonders of Nitrous. If you need that extra kick then I suggest going with a 50 shot and see how it goes, if the engine responds well than go up to 75. There are tons of brands like NOS, Venom, etc. Thanks Joltsword for the add on
-If you need more power then go S/C. Supercharge your car with one of RIPPS kits.
-Or you can always go TT.

This list was compiled pretty quick, if anybody has anything to chime in please post it and i'll add it.

Flywheel, TT fuel pump, cam gears, NOS and SAFC, LSD, bored out throttle body

I just looked up Yogurt's guide and compared them to see what he had and you didn't...

Wait scratch the cam gears you have those on the list, and the flywheel too... god I have a bad problem with skimming

I think I would have put the exhaust and dp earlier, maybe stage 2, and the clutch later, but it doesnt make that much of a difference. NOS and SAFC, LSD, and bored out throttle body arent really must haves, but they would go under the "I wanna have the fastest nonturbo" category I guess

Fury - you have some wrong info on your post about 3kgt motorsports. you said that everything that was bad has been taken care of. this is incorrect. he has numerious very large disputes still pending that hes avoiding myself included. Also his site is down as far as i know and he isnt selling currently. you may want to edit your post or remove him in general seeing as he doesnt sell items anymore.

Alright well i'll do something about it.. i'll think of something. And Joltsoword it doesn't matter what order it's in, the thing that counts is that it's installed or w/e. Also the TT fuel pump is not needed because it will further rich your car and waste of fuel. Unless you have some form of aspirated power like a turbo or s/c.

They all try to avoid the New Owner Questions forum apparently... Its dark and scary down here, but I was bored so I did one... then I found out we get points, so the competitive aspect just took over

I know that there's a lot of people watching this thread You guys are doing great so far with the answers, and I'm just trying to keep things organized and open-minded.

We do need to think of something on the 3s shop-list, however. While it is meant to help new 3s owners find the aftermarket parts that they need, we do have to keep it fair when it comes to "personal" reviews of each shop included in the descriptions. Many people have had good transactions with Rasheed (for example), but as history has it there may still be many unresolved cases. If Rasheed is out of business, then I guess it would be appropriate to remove his link. I'd like to get a statement from him, though, for verification. Since this is our (member of 3si's) FAQ list, what do you guys suggest we do about cases such as this? My first suggestion would be to keep it simple. Include a link to the trader rating of each shop's owner's. For example:

IPO: Click Here
Myself: Click Here
SmokinVR4: Click Here
Hans: Click Here
etc.

I see this as being the fairest setup, as we let members decide for themselves on if they wish to proceed with a purchase from that particular company. Plus it will allow us to utilize 3si's already very useful feature (trader rating). However, I feel we should keep the shop descriptions free of flames and non-factual statements in order to keep a "neutral" stance for everyone that supports this platform.

What do you guys think?
