Alright guys
![]() I've updated the main list again. By now you're starting to see how this will all come together as the answers are posted. We've already had one correction (which is accurate), so I marked that in the first post as well. Once everything is said and done in this thread, those changes will be incorporated in the final answer once I clean this thread up for the final New Owner FAQ thread. Don't be afraid to post up corrections, for that is the main purpose of making this a TEAM effort. As opposed to just one person writing the answer to each question, we have a chance to work together to complete a full, detailed and accurate answer (in case one person makes a mistake or gives false information). In the end, this will help eliminate all room for error. Clever, wouldn't you say? ![]() Either way, its looking great so far. To jump in on this, Fury (or anyone for that matter) - here's a few more 3s shops if you want to add them with a description. It might sound a little bias coming from me :Ty Speed Performance (www.tyspeedperformance.com) Horsepower Freaks (www.horsepowerfreaks.com) Go Fast Goodies (www.gofastgoodies.com) 3kGT Motorsports (www.3kgtmotorsports.com) DN Performance (www.dnperformance.com) eK2 Development / Bob K (site under development) Import Precision / Bill (www.importprecision.com) Speed Factor / Ty (www.speedfactor.net) Ultimate Performance ACC / Chris (www.ultimateperformanceacc.com) and there's still a few more out there. The more people that chip in, the more accurate answers we'll have. We'll take our time on this, and do it right. |

Good job man
That post is looking very detailed. If anyone has any suggestions, by all means please post or PM me. We want to keep these FAQ answers as factual as possible - especially when it comes to the tuners (just to keep it fair to each of them). We're definitely on the right track. |

props to resurrection on this one...
lifter tick happens on all 3/s models except for 99's. appearently, they changed the lifters for that year. this is why 99 lifters are a popular mod. for those who are looking for a cheaper solution, change your oil. i recommend mobil 1 supersny. 0w40, or 20w50 (if your car is especially noisy like mine). thicker weights of oil help muffle the ticking. or you can add a bottle of gunk(tm) lifter silencer with each oil change. i DO NOT recommend adding gear oil to the manifold. -thadd. |
