check the IAC. when my 95 wouldn't idle without wanting to kill...it was the IAC. i think i paid about $500. 15 min labor, $460 part. lol!

Does anyone know the answer to my question. Can a bad fuel pressure regulator cause my 91 TT to act like it is choking when I accelerate?

it's possible but I doubt it. Start testing @ the fuel pump and work your way forward.
