when you start it up it will rev by itself. it goes to about 2,500 rpm's and then back down and do it over and over. so i unpluged the idle air control plug and it helped but it still reved to about 1,500 rpm's and the back down and over and over.
also the guage lights nad dash lights dont turn on..
any suggestions??

I think you are on the right track. Normally when cars do that it's related to the ECU or some type of electronic sensor/controller.
The dash and gauge lights are probably a blown fuse. That MIGHT have something to do with the idle, who knows. I've seen some weird ass things fused together.

but are the dash lights a seprate fuse from everything else?
You'll have to look at the descriptions for the fuses my friend. On a Mk2 supra, I found out the hard way, the dash lights are fused with the pop-up headlight motors.
I'm not saying that's your problem, but the possibility is there.
My first thought is it could be a vaccum leak. Another thing there is a sensor called the idle air control valve that sometimes needs clean or replaced. I think it is around or near the throttle body, I had a accord that did the same thing and it was the IACV.
ok i looked at all the fuses i could find and they all look good. but there are some place's that dont have fuse's in them but the spot is there, so im going to take a 5 amp fuse and put it in each of them and see if he was just missing the fuse completly. if that doesnt work any other suggestions??
