sell it and buy a TT.... that might quicken things a bit
is it auto? if so you might struggle tbh. there are ways but it doesn't make it super fast

Not much minor and nothing significantly cheap.

Right now your car traps in the low 90's.

If you want 100+ traps then thats a TT conversion or sell yours and buy a TT. Neither of which is cheap. If I were you I would save your money towards something worthwhile and then go at it when it doesn't have to be cheap because stuff breaks on the road you are considering traveling and these cars are not cheap to fix.

There's nothing cheap that you can do to your car to make it significantly faster.

who says so? i have proved over and over that they can be fixed, fetled, rebuilt on a tight and when i say tight i mean very low budget.

shop around for parts don't always accept the first price or quote, do all the work your self.

biggest gains you'll see will be from a bigger engine or NOS (do a two stage ) you can try sticking a supercharger on there, but i here its quite the undertaking, even more so than a TT conversion. as others have stated nothing will be cheap. cheapest will be the NOS, but do it right and don't do it if your engine can't handle it. personally; sell the SL and get a 1st gen vr4, they can be had for 5-6k in good condition if you take your time and shop around. plus if you still want more speed after that, just up the fuel a tiny bit and get 15Gs or 13Ts. better log though!

and i'm spent

Yeah but time is money so all the down time is also a expense. I will admit my 3s's have been very reliable but I am not cheap about it either, and I have a good line of mechanics to help me do whatever with just a phone call.

My SL had light flywheel, 3SX light pully, intake, downpipe, test pipe, catback, plugs, wires, ground kit, plenum spacer,

And it was VERY fast.......

When i was going downhill with the wind blowing up my ass. Now that i have a 425AWHP VR4 im much happier. Now im fast going uphill!!!! haha

Honestly you can do a lot to your SL and you'll be lucky to put >190 at the wheels, or at the very best 200, without forced induction.
