Dodge My First Mod

So, I want to start modifying my stock motor. What are your recommendations to start with? Cold Air Intake maybe?

cold air intake is a good start. You might also want to consider a test pipe to replace the stock cat, and give your exhaust a nice sound.

Can't take the cat off, NJ vehicle emissions inspectors don't like that.

u can still use a test pipe, all u do is unbolt the cat and bolt up the test pipe.. wen you go to inspect it you just swap them back out

Here are a few basic performance suggestions. If you already know them just ignore them

1. Datalogger [Increase boost safely]

2. Manul Boost controller ... [EBC if you can afford it.]

3. A real boost gauge...[The stock gauge is trash and will get you in trouble if you raise your boost.]

4. Gut pre cats [Faster Turbo spool]

5. Replace main cat with test pipe. [Faster Turbo spool]

6. [NGK BCP7ES] Copper plugs set at .030 [Prevent spark blow out]

7. MSD 8.5 mm wires [Prevent spark blow out]

8. K&N air intake

9. Pressure test your car and repair all boost leaks here is how to do it. [Please don't blow this one off it is very important and if you have leaks you are throwing H/P away.] http://www.supercar-engineering.com/...T/IntPresTest/

10. Good quality down pipe. No ebay unless anoher memember has bought the same pipe and can recommend it. Most ebay DP's have fitment problems. [I like the 3sx down pipe]

11. The Y pipe won't help preformance at below 20PSI boost but it does make the engine look better.

12. Stock clutch in good condition should handle the above mods

13. The Above mods with very good driving can get you a 12.XX sec time slip..

14. And always remember that Stealth 316 Home is your best friend thanks to Jeff Lucius Link to that original thread is here....

etecnifibre hes only an NA

I would say make sure its in good factory tune first. Change all fluids, get some new plugs and MSD plug wires.
Seafoam it to clean out the gunk. Then intake, catback exhaust/testpipe are usually next in line

Oops, missed that part, good call. In that case, I'd sell the N/A and buy a turbo model.
