If you're stock, your exhaust is 2.25". Go bigger! With a catback at 2.5" or even 3.0" inches you'll notice a difference in the tone. Replace the downpipe too.

You can also replace your cat w/a race pipe, but you'll probably fail emissions. So be forewarned.

. . I'll answer this nicely because i have to. Get a straight 2.5 or 3 inch catback w/o any cats or mufflers. . .that'll be pretty loud and if not gut out all your cats/pre-cats from the DP's. .

Honestly, you don't want it loud. Trust me. Mine isn't even exceptionally loud and it annoys the fuck out of me driving it long distances.

Test pipe and the less restriction the better! 1 muffler, 1 resonator maybe.

Straight DP is SO LOUD but sounds really raspy at high rpms.

I don't think the whole idea is to make it "so loud everyone can hear me coming down the block". Why would you even want that? Have you seen the new South Park episode titles "The F word"? I highly suggest you watch it just to get a good idea of what the townspeople will be calling you.

All joking aside, like everyone suggested, you can get headers, downpipe, test pipe, cat back, larger diameter tubing, etc etc... but you really don't want to overdue it. Getting rid of all your back pressure is going to hinder your performance.

I completely agree. I went with a high flow cat, headers and upped the exhaust to 2.5" inches. I have a silencer on the muffler too which quiets it down a bit. The tone is pretty good. Not too overpowering but noticeable. You don't wanna be "that guy."
