sure you can, you can spend 5k more on a car with over 10k in reciepts for maintanance and minor upgrades and get a better looking not ghetto wheeled non faded paint car. The other 98 would likely cost you the 5k in about a year compared to Johns car. If i had a 2 car garage and the dealer would take 17,500 it would be parked next to my 99 right now.

19,000 is way too much even 17,500 is way too much for that car. I'm sure the guy at the other dealer can lower the price to like 11,000 if you negotiate and pay in cash. Also 5K in a year yeah right. My sohc was only 2.5K in a year (yes I write down the cost of everything in my trusty little notebook) for oil, spark plug, belts, hoses, battery, tires, and transmission fluid.

You'll quickly learn that Kelley Blue Book don't mean shit on these cars. While 19.9K might be a little high, I'd hate to see what KBB is pricing this car at.

considering they're the lowest production year for the vr4, kbb value has little to do with it.

I can assure you they will not sell it for $11K since they paid me more than that for it. KBB is a guide. And really a fools tool used by dealers on trade-ins. A cars price varies by region, let alone factors such as desire, take the supra example. An original shelby cobra sold new for $4K.. whats the KBB on that car 40 years later?

This was an adult owned and cared for car. As to the $5K comment, sorry, but a 10 year old vr4 isn't a sohc. Even though I will admit, I replace more stock parts more often than I need to.

As to the $11K vr4 in this thread, something smell funny beyond the price. The stock gauges where replaced with neon srt things and the panels on the interior look ajar, ie, I smell salvage and/or severe abuse.

Come back and talk to me after you drive it. My buddy already went there and test drove it and said its good and theres no problems he would of bought it but instead found a nice 1999 400+ hp SVT Cobra with 65K and bought it for 10.5K.

He doesn't like ricers that much lol but liked this VR4. However the SVT has more HP. The SVT was driven by an older guy as a weekend car thats why it had low miles and he sold it for cheap because hes getting a GT500 lol.
