Hey guys!!
My name's George and I've been looking at a couple 3000GT's in the area and one in particular caught my eye. It's a 98 Pearl White VR4 with only 79K miles on it. Supposedly, it's 1 of less then 300 made, not sure if that's true or not. Overall, looks super clean. They're askng $19.9K for it, which seems a little high. Anything in particular that I should check out/look over in detail? I'll check to see if it's had the 60K milage service. Looks nice though, white is starting to grow on me. Any help would be great. Here's a link to the listing. Rayco Eurospec Motorcars George |

If the car has only 79k miles and they produce documents suggesting the 60K maintenance was done then offering 16-17 might be a good starting negotiation point. I know people with fully built cars that don't sell for that but I don't think that's a fair comparison. In the end, you are the one that has to be happy and like I said, the car does look extremely clean. my .02 Tommy

I recently got a 92 vr4 with only 93kmiles I only payed 4,700 for it , it is true that the 99 model has a limit or around 300 for each year, I wouldn't pay 20g's for that car I would offer 10-15, or just find another year. But it took me about 6 months till I found mines, looks very good though

Very nice car! I've also NEVER seen a white 98 VR-4 with black leather. Supposedly there was only one white 99 VR-4 with black leather made. I wonder if this color combination is equally rare in 98 since 98 was the lowest production year for the VR-4.

The 98 VR4 is the rarest VR4 out of all the years. More about the production numbers can be found here:
3000GT VR-4 & Stealth R/T TT Production I think it's a little high priced for the mileage but you're also always going to pay more at a dealership. As long as it is worth the value for you ![]()

Thats Johns(Broch) old car here on 3si. That was car cared for to a T and has a lot of money into its maintance and several very tasteful modifications. Very good car but 20k is too high, 17ish is what i would be willing to pay.

What all does he have done to it? I did notice blue color couplers on the upper intercooler pipes and that gave it to me, that it probably wasn't stock. George |

Damm. That is one beautiful car. OK... 19.9 is high, but: 1) if the 60k has been done; 2) the tires are new or nearly new; 3) the tranny is perfect; 4) you have around $18,500 to spare... go for it. The wheels look perfect; are they? Go check it out. It's rare to see the 18 inch chromies in such perfect condition.
Seriously, if you want it get it. I overpaid for mine, too. They haven't been made in 10 years, the Gen 2.5's are the least common, and if that car is in as good shape as it looks, it's a beautiful example of what a VR4 is. If you can afford it, go for it I say. BTW... white FTW! ![]()
