There is only one model year you can do this with, the 1994 3kgt.

It has a glass headlight.

If it is any other year dont do it! It won't help, and can damage it.
Other years use Lexan and has a different way of being restored.

not exactly true, i've done it on my '96 3k headlight. just have to be more careful. i wouldn't recommend doing the robo mod on lexan headlight, after you sand down the paint on the other side, you'll leave scratches etc.. even after clear coating. it also doesn't look as appealing.

They have products at your local car shop for removing the fog build up on the inside of lights. If your lenses are glass I would recommend using Invisible Glass, it's amazing.

I placed lexans in the over for 5 mins @ 225 F and had no problems taking them off. They fit right back on as well, no heat distortion.

You can remove the covers on any 94-99 headlights. Lexan is strong stuff and will not be damaged from heating it.

I've taken apart 3 different pairs of lexan headlights for one reason or another. Its straigt forward and uses the same directions as the glass headlights.

But yes, if its just the peeling issue then taking it apart wont help.
