Default help with new car

Alright here is the deal i just but a tt dodge stealth, the owner said it had droped a rod but when i got it home i noticed the crank pully was broke. I then tried to turn the motor over at the crank to see if it was seized, should i beable to turn it over with a ratched with the spark plugs in or is it seized.

with spark plugs in..i would say that you cant...in a sense you are creating compression..which would make it harder to turn..

alright so i need to take the plugs out to see if its seized or not, also by having the crank pully break could it have messed with the timing or not?

Probably not, the timing belt is run off of a different cog.

Yes you should be able to turn it over semi-easily. Yes it turns over easier if you take the pulugs out. If it doesn't move you have more expensive problems than just the pulley.

hey quick question inorder to remove the engine does the transmission have to come out with it or can i just unbolt it from the motor then pull the motor out?

i think the tt's you can just unbolt it and leave it there
