I think 2.5 is a good size for a stock NA, other NA owners can correct me if I'm wrong.

As for the bends, mandrel is the ONLY was to go for exhaust, basically it maintains the full diameter of the pipes in the bends, crush bends are exactly what they sounds like, its like taking a straw and bending it then trying to drink out of it, not good.

If its a big shop, they will probs have their own bending machine, if its a smaller shop, they probably buy the bends separately then weld them in. Again, I think pretty much every exhaust shop does mandrel, but make sure.

so for now im thinking, 2.5" cat back, with stock downpipe and cats still intact.

anybody know any decently priced mufflers that would give me a decently bassy sound?

For 200 I would guess they are just doing a catback and you bring your own mufflers.

You would notice a difference in exhaust note but not much in performance. Most shops if they want to keep their buisness license will not remove your emissions stuff. So a DP that keeps your cat is your best bet with a catback.

The most powerful NA mods as in ones that you will feel when you hit the throttle are: lightweight rims, the DP with testpipe or no cats, and a lightweight aluminum FW.

Everything else adds to the sound K&N, resonator removal/blockoff, catback.

Underdrive pulleys have a effect but not enough for you to feel it and the compromise is slower running accessories which is a no no if you have a system or anything.
