Default Different Denso Fuel Pumps?

Real Easy Question:

3SX sells a denso fuel pump, seen here as does IPS seen here.

IPS claims a rating of 277 LPH at 43 psi and 13.5 volts for ~$200.

3SX claims a rating of 290 LPH at 43 psi and 13.5 volts for ~$250.

Are these in fact the exact same fuel pump, or does the 3SX fuel pump flow 13 more LPH and is hence worth the extra $50?

They both are Denso (Supra) fuel pumps, so I don't see how they could be different. Perhaps an error on one of the sites?

(I realize that this is about the most retarded post I've ever made, as I'm about 95% sure that the fuel pumps are exactly the same, but I had to be sure. Hence this is posted in the new owners section)

IIRC, there are in fact two different denso pumps that we use.

So the 3SX one actually flows more and is worth the extra 50 bucks??

Anyone else want to confirm this? I'd like to order a fuel pump soon.

I was hoping someone else would chime in...I thought it was maybe Matt M. that was saying something about the difference in a thread once.

Dynamic Racing :: - Components

theirs says 310lph at 14V...I'd PM Matt about it if he doesn't chime in here.

I was actually going to add that to this thread. According to that, 0.5 volts gives 20 extra lph?

Maybe I was wrong and there ARE different denso fuel pumps out there. Hell, if Dynamic Racing's has the highest flow I will spend the ~$269 and get the one from them. I'll spend an extra 70 bucks gladly to get an extra 33 lph.

Stealth 316 - Fuel Pump Upgrade Guide

scroll to the bottom, with the table of the pumps. "Toyota Supra Pump"
the part number matches that which is pictured on the 3sx website (IPS' is too blurry to read anything)

it's 290 LPH at 14V, not 13.5. and 260 LPH at 12V. if you do a simple linear interpolation (maybe not truly accurate for these pumps, but if anyone else has a better suggestion please say so), then at 13.5V you get 282.5 LPH. which is close to 277 LPH, so it's probably not a simple linear interpolation, but oh well. my guess is they're the same pumps, but just to be safe, you could contact IPS and ask for the part number.

As can be seen on Jeff Lucius's fuel pump upgrade guide there is a lot more to it than just the rated flow. A fuel pump is where an uninformed person can waste a lot of money. Read up and buy only what you need. Don't just get the biggest because it has to be the best. It just doesn't work that way.

p.s. A hotwired Supra fuel pump can actually cause the stock fpr to over-run at idle causing several problems.

Yeah I'm definitely not seeing anything on that site about a different flowing Denso fuel pump. Hmmmm. Gonna send a quick message to IPS just to make sure.
