Mitsubishi Computer Model Question

I replaced my ECU with one that isnt the same md or e2t#, i replaced it with that one because my original ecu, was making my car idle roughly and have a very rough acceleration until past 4000 rpm then it would rev fine, so my question is once i replaced the ecu with the one from my 95 it rev's fine but the idle is still kinda shaky can i keep this ecu on there or do i still have to buy the original model number ecu????thanks for your help
